JACKSON -- Mayor Paul Sander recently named new and reappointed members of the city's various committees.
The appointments were approved Monday night by the Jackson Board of Aldermen.
Bernard Proffer and Wayne Maupin are newly appointed members of the Planning and Zoning Board with terms expiring in 1998 and 2000, respectively.
Vicki Abernathy was reappointed to the zoning board. Her term will expire in 2000.
Alderman Larry Cunningham, newly elected in April, will be the alderman assigned to the zoning board.
Dave Turner is a new member of the Park Board. His term will expire in 1999. Carole Baugh and Emily Tuschhoff were reappointed to the Park Board, and their terms will also expire in 1999.
Cunningham was also assigned to the Park Board.
Alderman Val Tuschhoff is the new chair of the Street Committee. Cunningham was also named to that committee.
Sander appointed four new members to the Library Board. Alan Gregory will serve on the board until 1998, filling an unexpired term. Teresa Popp, Ken Ruff and Bob Williamson will serve until 1999.
Three men were reappointed to the city's Human Relations Board. Rev. Sam Roethemeyer, Dr. Dwight Johnson and Brad Eftink will serve until 1999.
Kevin Sawyer was reappointed to the Board of Adjustments. His term will expire in 2001.
Brent Wills, Jim Nelson and Marvin Swanson were reappointed as alternate members for the Board of Adjustments.
Two new members were appointed to the Jackson Industrial Development Authority. John M. Thompson and John N. Thompson (cq) will serve until 1999.
Chad Hartle was reappointed to the industrial development authority board, and will also serve until 1999.
The three members of the city's Health Board were all reappointed to serve until 1997. They are Ken Howard, Dr. T. Wayne Lewis and Charles Hutchings.
Sander and Aldermen Fred Leimer and Dave Reiminger were reappointed to the city's Fund Raising Committee.
