MATTIS WILL PRESENT CONCERT

Kathleen Mattis will present a viola concert at Old St. Vincent's Church in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. and is free.

Mattis has performed with the Trio Cassatt and the Ambile Piano Quartet, and has performed as a soloist with the Saint Louis Symphony a number of times. She also has presented annual recitals in St. Louis for many years.

She is presently a principal violinist with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis.

Accompanying Mattis on the piano will be Patricia Wolf, a recent graduate of Juilliard. The concert will include classical, 20th century jazz and blues.

The concert is sponsored by the JCPenney Co., Southeast Missouri Council on the Arts and the Missouri Arts Council.
