Three St. Mary Cathedral School students took individual wins at the state level of the recent math competition sponsored by the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) in Columbia.

Tim Robert and Ryan Watin, after winning first an second place respectively at the regional level in Sikeston, at the state level, finished fifth and seventh respectively. Avelina Lichtenegger was the coach.

In the elementary division, sixth-grader Danny Robert finished sixth problem solving and eighth in mathematical concepts at state.

Tim and Danny Robert are the sons of Richard and Linda Robert of Cape Girardeau. Ryan is the son of Ray and Nonita Watin of Cape Girardeau.
