JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Missourians could get a matching contribution for the money they save for their children's college tuition.
The matching grant program is for the MOST 529 college savings plan and is worth up to $500. Applicants must be the account owners with a household adjusted income of less than $75,000.
Both the matching grant applicant and beneficiary must be Missouri residents. And the beneficiary must be 13 years old or younger when the first matching grant was approved, though older students approved for a matching grant would remain eligible.
Applicants must be postmarked by June 30, and the matching funds will be distributed by Jan. 31, 2015.
