WHITEWATER -- Marvin W. Langston, 83, of Whitewater, died Monday, March 6, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sept. 7, 1911, near Crump, son of Lafayette and Elsie Mae Young Langston. He and Amelia Eaves were married Dec. 20, 1931.
Langston was a farmer in the Whitewater area a number of years, and had worked at several former businesses. He was a mechanic at Young Motor Co. in Jackson, worked at Central Packing Co. in Cape Girardeau, Jackson Dressed Meat, and retired from Ford Meat Co. in 1982.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Delta, member and past master of Whitewater Masonic Lodge, Whitewater Order of Eastern Star, Sword of Bunker Hill, and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Donna Pensel of Jackson, Dorothy Hahs of Oak Ridge; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glen Golden officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
