MARIO'S PIZZA TO OPEN

JACKSON -- Mario's Pizza and Subs III will open here in the near future.

Mario Grippo of Glen Allen expects the business to open in two weeks at 214 W. Main.

"This is the third location," Grippo said. "We have operations in Marble Hill and Advance. I sold them and they are now independently owned and operated."

The restaurant will offer pizza, Italian pasta dishes, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, stromboli and other foods. It will be available for eat-in or carry-out.

"We will have handmade pizza made from all fresh ingredients," he said. "The pizza will be available whole, or by the slice."

The 1,800 square foot restaurant will have seating for 43 customers. Grippo bought the building from NLC Co. Inc. It formerly housed a barber shop and beauty shop.

Grippo, his wife, Doris, and three children moved to Bollinger County from Atlantic City, N.J. He has 19 years' experience in the Italian restaurant business.
