Lance Cpl. Joe Narsh recently graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps basic training in San Diego, where he was named Company Honorman.
After all testing and close evaluation by his drill instructors and series officers, Narsh was considered to be the recruit who had displayed the highest degree of skill, military knowledge and leadership potential in his company.
He was in competition for the distinction with 433 other recruits. Narsh now is stationed at Camp Pembleton, Calif., and is the son of Barb Narsh of Cape Girardeau.
