The Marching Tigers of Cape Girardeau Central High School won the third place trophy at the Rebel Invitational Marching Festival in Park Hills Oct. 19.

The competed in the blue division, which included 10 bands. In addition to a division second-place trophy, the band received a trophy for outstanding drum major.

The 131 members of the Marching Tiger band will participate in the Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming parade Saturday. On Nov. 2, they will travel to St. Louis for the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival. This will be the final competition of the season and will be held at the new TransWorld Dome. Forty-eight bands will compete that day.
