O.J. Miller, president of the Area Wide United Way, has appointed Dennis Marchi as general chairman of the 1993-94 campaign. Marchi will be assisted by Ron Hopkins, chairman elect. The Area Wide United Way established a goal of $500,000 to provide financial support to 25 local human care organizations in this immediate area. Volunteers are being recruited and actual solicitation will begin in mid-July and continue through October...

O.J. Miller, president of the Area Wide United Way, has appointed Dennis Marchi as general chairman of the 1993-94 campaign.

Marchi will be assisted by Ron Hopkins, chairman elect.

The Area Wide United Way established a goal of $500,000 to provide financial support to 25 local human care organizations in this immediate area. Volunteers are being recruited and actual solicitation will begin in mid-July and continue through October.

Marchi, manager of Schnucks, has served as president of the board of directors and been a member of numerous committees for the local fund raising organization. Hopkins, a vice president of Commerce Bank, served as president of the United Way in Mexico, Mo., prior to moving to Cape Girardeau.

Miller, president of Mercantile Bank, announced the following organizations will benefit from the 1993 campaign:

American Heart Association,

American Lung Association,

American Red Cross,

Association for Retarded Citizens,

Boy Scouts,

Cancer Research,

Cape Girardeau County 4-H Council,

Cape Senior Center,

Civic Center,

Civil Air Patrol,
