Marble Hill woman in serious condition after Monday crash near Burfordville

BURFORDVILLE, Mo. -- A single-vehicle accident on Highway 34 east of Burfordville sent a Marble Hill, Mo., woman to the hospital with serious injuries Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that around 4:50 p.m. a 2008 Dodge driven by Brittany D. Henson, 20, was traveling westbound on the highway when the vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the roadway.

Henson - who was not wearing her seat belt - was taken by ambulance for treatment at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. The Dodge suffered extensive damage.
