BURFORDVILLE -- A Marble Hill woman was injured early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Cape Girardeau County Route OO, near Burfordville.
A spokesman with the Missouri Highway Patrol in Poplar Bluff said Connie Grindstaff, 19, received serious injuries when the pickup she was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned about one mile south of Burfordville.
Grindstaff was not wearing a seat belt and apparently was the only passenger in the vehicle, the patrol said.
She was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, where she was listed in stable condition late Wednesday night.
