MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- The Marble Hill Board of Aldermen picked Don James of Marble Hill as its new city administrator.

Mayor Nick Hendricks announced the choice Tuesday, stating James' appointment will be made official at the next meeting of the aldermen Jan. 11.

James has accepted the appointment and will spend the week in city hall with retiring administrator Ron Lutes to become acquainted with the job, Hendricks said.

Also, two people have filed for running for election to city offices.

Former alderman Clint Lacy has filed for mayor.

Kevin Robinson, a local contractor, has filed to run for alderman in Ward 2.

Former alderman Roger Burr has announced he intends to run again in Ward 1, but has not yet filed. He is expected to file this week.

Anyone interested in filing for a city office has until Jan. 19 to do so. The municipal election will be April 5.
