MARBLE HILL -- Marble Hill recently received a $247,700 federal and state grant to repair two contaminated water wells. The money will come in the form of a community development block grant approved by the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
Inspection reports showed Marble Hill has had periodic contamination of its water supply. Although there have been no recent reports of dangerous water samples, a new system will pretreat water before it has a chance to become contaminated again.
Construction of the system could begin as early as November and be completed in the spring.
