Kathy Mangels, interim vice president for business and finance at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named permanent vice president.
The board of regents approved the appointment earlier this week after a closed-door meeting, school officials said.
Mangels had served as interim vice president since Jan. 1. She replaced Dr. Ivy Locke, who left to take a job as vice president for administration and finance at Rhode Island College in Providence, R.I.
Prior to serving as interim vice president, Mangels was controller for the university for eight years and assistant treasurer for four years. She served as budget analyst in facilities management at Southeast from July 1995 to February 1997.
