A warrant issued Friday charges an 18-year-old man in the shooting of another man near a Cape Girardeau intersection.
George A. Henry was charged in the warrant with first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, according to a news release from the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
Henry, who addresses listed at 805 Ranney St. and St. Louis, is the accused gunman in the Tuesday night shooting that injured a 23-year-old man.
Police have not been able to find Henry, who was considered armed and dangerous, the release stated.
The shooting occurred around 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of Benton Street and Jefferson Avenue.
The victim, who was struck once in the lower back, was conscious and speaking with authorities after the shooting and was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center for treatment.
An update on the victim's condition was not available Thursday night, but he was listed in "stable" condition on Wednesday, police spokesman Jason Selzer said.
Anyone with information regarding Henry should contact the Cape Girardeau Police Department at 335-6621.
