KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Police are looking for a gunman who shot and killed an acquaintance in Kansas City's Westport entertainment neighborhood.
Kansas City police spokesman Darin Snapp said the victim was gunned down in a parking lot outside Chili's restaurant at about 1 a.m. Friday. The suspect sped away in a blue Chevy truck with tinted windows.
The victim is identified as 22-year-old Nicholas Emory of Kansas City.
Snapp said investigators believe the victim and the gunman knew each other, and had been arguing just before the shooting.
