A Farmington, Missouri, man sustained serious injuries Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Perry County, Missouri, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Dennis M. Emas, 60, was driving a 2003 Volvo tractor south on Route C two miles south of Highway 51 when he failed to negotiate a left turn and the vehicle left the roadway to the right and overturned, the patrol reported.

Emas, who was using a safety device at the time of the crash, was flown to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau for treatment of serious injuries, the patrol reported.

The accident totaled the tractor.
