Man robs drugs from Illinois nursing home

JONESBORO, Ill. -- The Union County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early morning armed robbery that occurred at the Jonesboro Nursing & Rehab Center.

According to a news release issued by the sheriff's department, about 4 a.m. Tuesday, an unidentified man believed to be in his early 20s entered the business at 995 State Route 127 South through the front door displaying a knife. The man demanded drugs from the storage area and fled with an undetermined amount of narcotics. No employees or residents were harmed during the incident, the release said.
