Shawn Morgan of Senath, Mo., accused of killing 3-year-old BreeAnn Rodriguez, pleaded guilty to three felony charges Monday, including murder.
Morgan pleaded guilty to first-degree murder, armed criminal action and child kidnapping.
He will receive two life sentences with no parole, plus 10 years on the armed criminal action count. The sentences will run concurrently.
Morgan was arrested in August 2011 after the child's was found in a drainage ditch several days after she was reported missing.
A trial had been scheduled to begin Aug. 18.
"I'm pleased to have this resolved. I know the Rodriguez family is. That was a big factor in this," said Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Stephen Sokoloff.
