A Chicago man pleaded guilty Monday to distributing crack cocaine in Southeast Missouri.
Rubin L. Evans, aka Ruben Evans, 36, pleaded guilty to one felony count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base and one count of distribution of 50 grams or more of cocaine base.
Evans' case stems from an April 12, 1999, incident in which he made a deal and traveled to the McDonald's in Charleston, Mo., and sold 113.2 grams of crack cocaine for $3,700 to an undercover police officer.
Evans now faces a possible maximum punishment of life in prison and $8 million in fines.
Sentencing is set for March 4.
