KENNETT, Mo. -- A Kennett man was pinned beneath his four-wheeler for 10 hours on Sunday, before being discovered and freed, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Matthew L. Smith, 23, was taken by ambulance to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett with serious injuries, the patrol said.
Trooper T.P. Watson said Smith had been riding an all-terrain vehicle on the 19 Ditch levee when his clothing caught in the spokes of the vehicle, causing him to be flipped from the vehicle, which then came to rest on top of him, trapping him.
