A Holcomb, Mo. man was killed Saturday when his car ran into a train in Southeast Missouri, authorities said.
James Cameron, 61, died in the accident at 2:15 p.m. at a crossing in Pemiscot County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Cameron tried to stop his car, but could not, the patrol said.
In other area accidents, a Fredericktown boy was injured Saturday afternoon when the four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle he was driving overturned near Patton.
Ryan Fadler, 14, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau with what authorities said was a broken leg following the accident.
A spokesman with the Missouri Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on County Road 204, three miles east of Patton after Fadler's ATV struck a "gas pipe" in the road. Fadler wasn't wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
