MAN KILLED IN ACCIDENT
VIENNA, Ill. -- A 29-year-old Thebes, Ill., man was killed Monday in a head-on collision on Illinois Rt. 37 about a half-mile south of the West Vienna junction. Phillip L. Dodd was pronounced dead at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill. Marilyn E. Wright, 42, of Cyprus, Ill., was also transported to Union County Hospital to be treated for serious injuries...

Phillip L. Dodd was pronounced dead at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.

Marilyn E. Wright, 42, of Cyprus, Ill., was also transported to Union County Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
A spokesman for the Illinois State Police said that Dodd was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Rt. 37 when he struck Wright's northbound car head on.
