MARBLE HILL -- A Zalma man was in guarded condition at a Cape Girardeau hospital after suffering serious injuries in a car accident Tuesday morning.

Tracy Williams, 36, was in St. Francis Medical Center intensive care unit Tuesday night.

He was injured when his vehicle, a 1989 Dodge, ran off Route FF, struck a ditch embankment and overturned.

Williams was westbound when the accident occurred at 3:30 a.m. The accident happened about four miles south of Marble Hill, said the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
