Man indicted in bank robbery

A Michigan man was indicted Friday on charges of robbing a bank in Charleston, Mo.

Richard Kozlow, 58, of Saginaw, Mich., is accused of robbing the Mississippi County Savings and Loan of $4,545 on June 1, 2001.

In a videotape of the incident, a man prosecutors say was Kozlow brandished a handgun and demanded money.

After he received the cash, witnesses said, he left behind what he told the teller was a bomb. Police later confirmed it was an explosive device.

If found guilty, Kozlow faces a possible maximum of 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Keith D. Sorrell is handling the prosecution.
