A stabbing Wednesday left a Cape Girardeau man with minor injuries.
Cape Girardeau police were dispatched to a local hospital about 4 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing, Sgt. Adam Glueck of the Cape Girardeau Police Department said. Police made contact with the victim, a 29-year-old Cape Girardeau resident who said he was attempting to break up a fight outside of a Cape Girardeau residence when one of the subjects cut him with a knife.
Glueck said the man's injuries were to the head and chest area but appeared to be minor and were not life-threatening. No one is in custody at this time.
The location of the stabbing is yet to be determined, and the case is still under investigation, Glueck said.
