Wren originally was charged with two counts of intent to distribute a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance stemming from an arrest May 20 in Cape Girardeau.

According to a probable-cause report, a search produced two grams of methamphetamine, 0.4 grams of powder cocaine, two grams of crack cocaine and eight baggies of marijuana in the same pocket of a pair of shorts as Wren’s driver’s license at an apartment at 43 S. Lorimier St. in Cape Girardeau.

A further search netted 1.5 grams of marijuana and eight wrapped baggies of crack cocaine weighing about two grams, according to the report.

Wren claimed all the drugs were his, even though there was a woman at the address, the report states.

The state-recommended sentence was contingent on the condition Wren’s criminal record was not considered.

The probable-cause report lists Wren as a prior and persistent drug offender.

The sentence will run concurrent with other sentences Wren is serving, although Wren’s previous convictions were not revealed in court.
