The suspect's truck hit the other vehicle, and both trucks overturned onto their sides.

Both men in the second vehicle, Timothy Kreidler, 40, of Valley Park, and David Ditzler, 44, of St. Louis, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Diner patrons removed both victims from the truck before officers arrived, so it's not clear if either victim had been wearing a seatbelt, police spokeswoman Schron Jackson said in a statement.
