Jefferson County Medical Examiner Gordon Johnson performed an autopsy on Primm's body Saturday morning and ruled that cocaine consumption had caused the heart attack, said Carpenter.

The coroner estimated Primm had taken the crack cocaine 45 minutes to an hour before the attack. Primm had a history of using cocaine, he said.

Carpenter said he did not know where Primm suffered his heart attack at the fair.
