Man dies after being struck by train in Cape

Fadedrick Holmes, 18, of Cape Girardeau died late Friday from injuries sustained after being struck by a train. According to Sgt. Barry Hovis, officers are still trying to determine why Holmes was on the tracks. Holmes was struck around 7:50 p.m. near Cape Rock Park in an area known as the Lower Circle. He was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m. Hovis said officers are interviewing the train's engineer and conductor as well as three other people who were near the tracks with Holmes.
