The fire broke out around 7:20 a.m. Friday at the Pralle (PRAY'-lee) Lane Apartment Complex. Firefighters rescued four people from different apartments who were trapped in the building.

Twelve families were displaced.

Names of the man killed and the people injured have not been released. There was also no immediate word on the seriousness of the injuries.

An investigation is under way into the cause of the blaze.
