PROTEM, Mo. -- A Kissee Mills, Mo., man is dead after making threatening phone calls to a rural Taney County man and charging into his home, authorities said.
The body of Mark Lee Davidson, 31, was on the ground at the front door of the home when sheriff's deputies arrived Friday night.
Family members of Davidson had called the homeowner and warned him that Davidson was on his way, according to Sheriff Jim D. Russell.
Davidson was shot when he ran through the front door toward the homeowner after being warned to leave, Russell said.
The homeowner, whose name was not released, was taken into custody for questioning and later released. No charges have been filed.
