KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Thanks to a DNA match, a Jackson County jury convicts a 39-year-old man of a 1994 sexual assault.

Jurors found Gregg A. Maples guilty Thursday night of forcible sodomy and forcible rape in a May 1994 sexual assault on a 20-year-old woman in her Kansas City home.

The woman was taking a bath at her home when a man dressed in camouflage clothing and holding a knife entered the room. Prosecutors said Maples covered the victim's face with a towel while he sexually assaulted her.

DNA evidence was matched to Maples last September. He will be sentenced next month.
