A Cape Girardeau woman told police a man pointed a gun at her head and her chest and dragged her across the floor before she was able to escape to a neighbor's house. Police arrested the suspect, who told them it was she who abused him.

The man was arrested on a weapons charge, even though police were unable to find a firearm when they searched his house.

Officers responded at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Rodney Vista Boulevard, according to a probable-cause statement from patrolman Jon Ortmann. Ortmann wrote the victim was talking to an ex-boyfriend when her current boyfriend, Kyle A. Foutch, 27, of Cape Girardeau grabbed her phone and threw it. She said he then pushed her up against a wall and pointed a gun at her head, according to the statement. She said Foutch then poured bleach on a bag of clothes and dragged her across the floor. She said Foutch then pointed a gun at her chest and threatened to kill her before she pushed her way out the front door and went to the neighbor's residence for help, Ortmann wrote.

Foutch spoke with officers at the station after he was advised of his Miranda rights. He said the woman was using Skype, an online video chat program, with an ex-boyfriend. He told her he wanted her out of the house and started packing her clothes into a bag, according to the probable-cause statement. Foutch said she began hitting him, bit him on the inner right arm, poured bleach on him and hit him in the back of the head.

Foutch then gave officers consent to search the residence for a firearm, but officers did not find any guns, according to the statement.
