A 36-year-old Cape Girardeau man was charged March 11 with second-degree statutory rape for allegedly having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl. As outlined in a probable-cause affidavit, the victim told a Missouri Children's Division investigator she and Christopher M. King had sex four or five times and that she was pregnant with his child. The 14-year-old and King allegedly had sexual contact between December and March 4. King is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond and, if bond is posted, has been ordered to have no contact with the victim and must stay more than 500 feet away from her residence.
