A St. Louis man was charged with rape and sexual assault relating to a crime that occurred in Perryville, Mo.
Michael L. Allen Jr., 27, of St. Louis, was charged with forcing a 14-year-old girl to have sex with him at a residence in Perryville on Jan. 7 in the early morning hours.
According to a probable cause statement written and signed by Perryville detective Direk L. Hunt, the victim reported the incident to police, saying he entered her bedroom and held her down while he assaulted her.
A witness told police she heard someone trying to get out of the bedroom and opened the door to find Allen in the girl's room. He allegedly said he was getting a blanket, but had none in his hands, according to the statement.
A forensic examination revealed fresh abrasions consistent with a sexual assault, the statement said.
During a police interview, Allen gave inconsistent statements, according to the probable-cause statement.
Allen was charged Jan. 18 with forcible rape and two counts of forcible sodomy.
