A man, after allegedly being lured for sex with a woman to the Townhouse Inn in Cape Girardeau, was punched repeatedly in the face by another man, and his wallet was taken, according to a police report.
Carlie K. McCauley, 24, of Du Quoin, Illinois, and Jeffrey T. Dancy, 32, of Sparta, Illinois, were arrested Nov. 16 after a traffic stop near the Townhouse Inn and were charged with second-degree robbery and felonious restraint.
McCauley contacted the victim late Nov. 12 at The Pony strip club in East Cape Girardeau, Illinois, before leaving with Dancy, a Cape Girardeau police officer wrote in a probable-cause statement.
McCauley then sent texts to the victim, which included prices for sexual intercourse and telling him to meet her at the Townhouse Inn parking lot, according to the officer's statement.
After the two made contact, McCauley led him to Room 222, but Dancy was waiting behind the door, the statement said.
Dancy punched the victim several times in the face and pinned him to the floor, the officer wrote, and took the victim's wallet and $260. Dancy told the victim not to move, and the man and woman left in a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo with Illinois plates, the officer wrote.
A desk clerk at the motel identified McCauley and had her driver's license scanned, the statement said.
Dancy and McCauley reportedly admitted to the crimes when interviewed by the officer.
