MINER, Mo. -- A 22-year-old Sikeston, Mo., man is charged with attempted burglary after telling a maintenance worker at the Sikeston Factory Outlet Stores he wanted the keys to the stores in the mall because he intended to enter the stores after hours. The maintenance worker then called police, the Standard Democrat reported. Miner police said when officers learned Joseph Hurt was on his way to the mall to pick up the keys, a set of decoy keys was placed near the mall. After Hurt picked them up, he was arrested. Hurt is being held at the Scott County Jail.
