Angel Victor Rojas, 23, was arrested on charges of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder said Deanna Torres had been shot in the shoulder while she sat in a pickup truck parked at a residence on South Oak at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
She was admitted to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett for treatment.
