Two men were arrested Wednesday after a weapon was allegedly displayed during a confrontation.

According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, David Fisher, 26, of F Street in Cape Girardeau County, got into an argument at approximately 4:25 p.m. with Mark Riola, 28, at Riola's apartment at 210 S. Hanover.

Police said Fisher attempted to confront Riola about a personal matter and Riola allegedly answered the door armed with a handgun. When police arrived they arrested both men. Fisher was charged with a misdemeanor crime of disturbing the peace and released.

After Riola was arrested, police allegedly found drug paraphernalia in his possession. Riola allegedly told police that there was a small quantity of marij1uana in his living room. Riola was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a weapon. All three are misdemeanors. Riola was released.
