According to a probable cause statement filed by Bloomfield assistant police chief Cody Wheetley, Daniel Phillip Winter, 29, broke into the pharmacy Friday night with the intention of stealing hydrocodone pills.

The report said Winter stole 483 pills. Of that number, 232 pills were generic hydrocodone, 198 were Vicodin and 53 were 7.5 mg hydrocodone.

The report does not say how Winter entered the pharmacy, only that he "left the same way he came in." Once outside, he reportedly spotted police officers, jumped off the roof and fled the scene.
