An Advance, Missouri, man was arrested Saturday after he was accused of holding a gun to the head of a woman and firing a shot in front of a child, according to Cape Girardeau County sheriff's deputies. An Advance, Missouri, man was arrested Saturday after he was accused of holding a gun to the head of a woman and firing a shot in front of a child, according to Cape Girardeau County sheriff's deputies.

Deputies arrested Lonnie E. Masters, 45, and the Cape Girardeau County prosecuting attorney's office charged him with second-degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Masters' bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.

The victim said Masters assaulted her and held a gun to her head, according to the release. The victim also said Masters fired a gun in their residence in front of a child, the release stated.
