ST. LOUIS -- A 73-year-old man died after being run over by his own car.
The accident happened Sunday at a Bank of America branch in the Central West End area. The victim's name has not been released.
Police say the man got out of his car to use the ATM, then got back in his car and hit a parked car. The fatal accident happened as he got out to check the damage. Investigators say the man thought he had put the car in park, but it was actually in reverse. When he stepped out of the car it moved, crushing him between the two cars and then running over him.
No one was inside the other car.
