The manager of West Park Mall was injured Tuesday while attempting to secure a runaway pickup truck that slipped out of gear and hit four parked cars in the mall lot.
James Govro, who took over as manager at the Cape Girardeau mall May 9, was the last person to drive the 1986 Ford F-250 pickup before it went out of control, according to a Cape Girardeau police report.
The report stated that Govro suffered "evident but not debilitating injuries" in the incident.
Govro could not be reached for comment Thursday night and police didn't know particulars of his injuries.
