ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Much of Missouri ducked the snowy mess that hit Southeast Missouri. And nothing much is expected in the next few days, meteorologist Jim Kramper said from the weather service's suburban St. Louis office.

"It looks like everything is lining up further to the south," Kramper said, with forecasts of just 1 to 3 inches late Wednesday or early today around St. Louis.

"But it's not out of the question to see less," he said. "We're lucky in terms of snow, but bundle up because it's gonna be cold. If we do get an inch or so, it's gonna stick to the ground like mad and perhaps pose some problems."

Across much of the St. Louis area, temperatures today and Friday should be in the teens, perhaps rising into the 20s on Saturday before climbing above freezing on Sunday, Kramper said.
