CAIRO, Ill. -- The Cairo Historical Association will hold its annual Magnolia Festival on Sunday, in conjunction with Riverboat Days.
The Magnolia Festival will begin at 11 a.m. on the grounds of the historic Magnolia Manor, the stately Victorian mansion which once hosted President Grant.
Booths for the Country Fair this year include "Best Sellers Again," "Christmas in June," "Original Crafts," "Green Thumb," and "Sweet Shop." The booths will sell handicrafts, fresh and home canned produce, desserts, and plants from the garden club.
A barbecue lunch will begin serving at 11 a.m. The cost will be $4.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12.
Mangolia Manor is located at 2700 Washington Ave. in Cairo. It is supported through its annual events and daily tours. The manor is open without appointment for tours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
