Rogers, currently a freelance TV journalist, said she'd had her fill of her career as TV news anchor and at age 37 chose to become a mother.

She believes that discipline is the key to managing time.

"Learning to say no is important or you get overwhelmed and lose quality time for you and your family," she said.
