Rick Hoffman, a teacher at Altenburg Public School, is using television to improve his math skills.
"PBS MATHLINE" is a television program that uses videotaped lessons to help fifth- through eighth-grade teachers implement national math standards in their classroom. Video conferences and on-line discussions also are available.
The program is seen on Central Missouri State University's public television station KMOS-TV. About 120 teachers are participating in the statewide program.
The program is funded by grants from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
