Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder is accepting nominations for the Veterans Service Award. The deadline to submit nominations is June 30.
This award recognizes Missouri veterans who provide volunteer service to their communities. Nominees are required to have served or be currently serving in any branch of the U.S. military and volunteer a minimum of 25 hours per year. Nomination forms may be found at ltgov.mo.gov, under "Veterans Information." Forms are also available at veteran services agencies, libraries, courthouses, senior services and other agencies throughout Missouri.
Fifteen winners will be selected from across the state. They will be recognized and presented with an official declaration from Kinder. Nominees will receive a certificate of recognition with the name of their nominator.
Completed nominations can be mailed to the Lt. Gov.'s office at State Capitol, Room 224, Jefferson City, MO 65101, or emailed to ltgovinfo@ltgov.mo.gov.
