Dr. Louisa Panou-Takahashi, an assistant professor of voice at Southeast, will give a recital at 8 p.m. Monday at Old St. Vincent's church.
Assisting her will be Dr. James Sifferman, an associate professor of piano at Southeast.
The program will consist of arias by Handel and songs by Schubert, Duparc, Griffes and Wolf-Ferrari.
The program also will include selections from musical theater.
A soprano, Panou-Takahashi was born in Cyprus and grew up in Italy. She has preformed extensively as an operatic singer and recitalist in Italy, Germany, Austria, Greece and the United States.
She is the artistic director of Operafestival di Roma, an education organization that gives musicians from around the world the opportunity to study and perform in Rome.
